American Institute for Conservation (AIC) Oral History Collection
Scope and Contents
Interviews, both original taped interviews and transcripts of them, mostly with American conservators or cultural heritage professionals and scholars who worked closely with conservators. The oral history project is sponsored by the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (formerly Fellows of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works [FAIC]), and is ongoing, with new material added annually. Included with most of the transcripts are supporting materials, such as correspondence, notes, copies of obituaries, photos, and publications.
