Letter written on illustrated bamboo paper, from a soldier stationed in Hawaii to a woman in the continental United States, dated February 13, 1927. The first name of the writer is James, but the surname is illegible. The letter discusses sexual relationships with native Hawaiians, the writer's age, and the woman's request for a photograph of him.

Scope and Contents This collection contains materials related to Charles van Ravenswaay’s attendance at the Bayou Bend Dedication Ceremony in Houston, Texas.
