Scope and Contents Consists of three diaries kept by Clarence Seal from 1899 to 1900 (acc. 90x99.1-.3), two diaries kept by Martha Seal in 1903 and 1905 (acc. 90x99.4-5.), and a volume with an inventory of possessions in boxes and drawers belonging to the Talley family in 1872, updated to 1892 (acc. 90x99.6). The diary of Joseph Cowell of Greenville, New York, dating from April 1, 1856 to September 20, 1859. Cowell's entries record events from daily life, including farming, livestock, and church related activities.

Content Description The Silver family papers consists of two account books from the Red Lion Inn's store dated 1874-1876 and 1887-1891; a cash book dated 1879-1880 which include several trade cards set in to it, advertising various businesses and goods; and "statements of farm account" detailing expenses around a farm, including labor, funeral expenses, and supplies such as nails and glass.
