Twenty-nine signed receipts for a variety of goods, such as "fifteen Dollars in full for a Mattrass," and "Seven hundred twenty four Dollars 50/100 ... for 100 Kegs of Lard." Includes commodities shipped to Havana, Cuba. At the back of the book are some rough sketches of buildings, evidently done at a much later time as one appears to be a skyscraper.

Receipt book contains signed receipts for taxes, rents, brick work, plumbing, painting, paper hanging, privy cleaning, gas, and water charges. Also includes records of payments of tuition for his daughter and son, repairs to a sofa, a kitchen range, an annuity to Cath Herman, etc. Many of the tax payments and much of the work was done on buildings being built or repaired for Geyer, not for his business or home, but rather buildings for rent or sale.
