Tanning

Collection consisting of a copy of the pamphlet Palmer's Improved Tanning Machine and a photograph of the exterior of an unidentified tannery, with employees leaning out of the windows, and examples of tanned hides displayed. It is unclear whether the pamphlet and photograph are connected, beyond the subject matter of both items.

The pamphlet describes present tanning methods and their drawbacks, followed by a description of the benefits of Palmer's improved tanning machine.
