Biographical / Historical

Grogan & Hair was a photography studio in Cordell, Oklahoma founded in October 1910 by Emmett Grogan and Lillie Hair, when they took over the photography studio of G.E. Porter. Grogan left the business after a short time, but Hair remained, operating the studio as "Hair Studio." Hair remained in business until 1928, when she transferred ownership to former apprentice and fellow female photographer Monnie Wooten.
