A paper fan with cutouts of letterhead and trade cards of various hotels glued to the front and back. The letterhead and trade card cutouts represent hotels that were located throughout New York, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Massachusetts.

Charlotte D. Adams collection of Berlin woolwork patterns

Scope and Contents

Consists of floral patterns from four German printers for Berlin woolwork embroidery for borders, sprays, nosegays, and two patterns which would have been suited for pillows. The patterns are hand-painted with opaque watercolor on printed card stock. Underneath some of the colors may be seen printed symbols indicating the color needed. Printers represented are: Louis Glüer; Grünthals Verlag; Hertz & Wegener; and A. Todt.

Scope and Contents The Ineson papers were generated in the course of building his silver spoon collection. The bulk of the papers consists of correspondence, including orders, inquiries, requests for appraisals, and more general correspondence. The order book was kept by Henry Buchter for the Buchter Chair Company for the year of 1872. A collection of 35 design drawings for leather screens, many on George D. Thompson & Co. letterhead. Most have been colored, and feature designs in the renaissance revival, rococo revival, and Chinoiserie styles. Many include dimensions and prices.

Of note is one design that features a Black person as an umbrella bearer within a rococo revival scene.
