Biographical / Historical
The Toidey Company was founded in 1924 as Juvenile Wood Products Company by Gertrude Miller in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Renamed the Toidey Company in 1945, Miller focused on designing and producing childcare and child safety products such as toilet training seats and child safety seats for cars. Upon Miller's death in 1954, the Toidey Company was purchased by investors, and continued to manufacture children's furniture and products under the Toidey Company name until the late 1970s.
