Content Description
Collection of catalogs and price lists for products manufactured by the State of Indiana Institutional Industries. Materials incude a Hickory Furniture catalog and price list, an Indiana Industries catalog containing a variety of goods ranging from janitors' supplies to clothing, building materials, and tobacco. Also included are several price lists for canned goods, cleaning supplies, furniture, matresses, and public works supplies and materials.

Biographical / Historical
Indiana Institutional Industries was founded by state statute issued by the Indiana General Assembly in 1917, that authorized prisons in the state of Indiana to manufacture goods and products for use by the state, its institutions, and political divisions, and to sell any surplus on the market. Now known as Indiana Correctional Industries, it continues to provide job training to incarcerated individuals.
