Drawyers Presbyterian Church, organized in St. George's Hundred, DE in the early 1700s, constructed a brick building north of Odessa in 1773. After the congregation moved in 1861, this building fell into disrepair. Over 30 years later, the "Friends of Old Drawyers" was constituted, mainly to preserve and restore the 1773 building and its surrounding cemetery.
