A cyphering book kept by Nancy Cogswell, which she titled Nancy Cogswell's Book of Canterbury and dated January 8th, 1821. Topics covered include simple and compound addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, money, weights, and measures. The pages of the cypering book are loose in a paper wrapper, and also include several watercolor drawings, as well as a letter dated May 1st, 1826 written by Amos Cogswell and Laura Adams regarding the death of a man named William.
